As a Sr. Systems Technician at Mujin, you’ll collaborate with a world-class team of doers and dive into challenging technical problems to deliver our solutions. This role requires combination of technical know-how, problem solving, curiosity, innovation, leadership, and communication. You’ll be an integration lead for robotic solution deployments, providing remote and onsite support. You’ll need troubleshooting and analysis skills while understanding and adopting best practices. Your projects will be focused in North America, but there will be opportunities to work closely with colleagues in our offices in both China and Japan. Responsibilities Set up industrial robots, demo cells, end effectors, cameras, lighting, compressed air, robot controllers, and vision systems Execute robot systems demos and projects for customers Provide support for systems deployed to remote customer sites Support installation and configuration of Mujin controller and other equipment at customer sites Requirements Positive attitude and ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change, natural curiosity and elevated observational skills in the workplace Automation Build and Support Activities Preventative and corrective Maintenance Activities Build various systems for automated production equipment, including items like electrical sensor/actuator systems, fluid and hydraulic systems, robotic cells, conveyance systems, automated assembly systems Problem-solve and troubleshoot with team members Support PLC and robot program updates and modifications Deep practical knowledge in repairing, maintaining, and adjusting electro-mechanical actuators, pneumatics, and sensors used in industrial automation Troubleshoot and Repair purchased equipment as needed Troubleshoot and Repair custom production equipment, which can include semi-automatic equipment, robotic cells, automation equipment, PLCs, and control enclosures Fabricate and wire electrical enclosures according to engineering schematics and documentation Computer skills with a working knowledge of both MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently in a start-up environment that can adapt to many roles with limited resources Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Flexible to work on extended hours, weekends or holidays as needed. Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with six and seven-axis robot arm task creation, conveyor belt systems, industrial sensors, manufacturing, CNC, robotic tooling, etc. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI’s), and the software used to program them Experience reading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluid, and hydraulic schematics Knowledge of and practical understanding of electrical standards, such as NFPA79 and UL508A Practical understanding of industrial ethernet protocols and how to troubleshoot them is a plus, such as Ethernet/IP, MODBUS, and other industrial field bus networks Practical understanding of serial communication bus protocols and how to troubleshoot them is a plus, such as RS-232 and RS-485 Experience with programming 6-axis robots is a plus Culture You’ll be joining one of the best companies to work for!
